It's Mother's Day! Donald and I I were lucky enough to spend the day with my mother and we took her to a Concord institution for lunch, the Hotel Concord! Back in the day, if you wanted to be seen, you went to the hotel for lunch on Sunday after church. Like everything else, time goes by and things change. The hotel now only serves on holidays and special occasions. We had my high school prom here, and I've been to a wedding reception here as well. It was nice to eat there again today.

My latest plant project. I took a clipping from one of my mint plants and submerged it in water. You can't see in this picture, but roots are growing and it is just about ready to be planted.

It's been a while since I've given you a backyard update, so I thought it may be the perfect opportunity for a panoramic view. We think the hawks have fledged, I've got my tomatoes planted, Donald is still working outside as much as he can, and it's nice to have Ariana's car here in our driveway.
