Day 167 of 365, Friday. I started the day with a walk around the neighborhood. For old times sake, I walked through the playground at Beverly Hills. Not only is this where I attended elementary school, but I taught there for 13 years. My class planted these big trees, and every day at recess that year, we brought water in gallon jugs.

Day 118 of 365. Alas, I had to return to work on Friday to attend a district wide workshop that had been planned for a while. You don't realize how tiring it is to sit all day until you have to do it yourself. I enjoyed some time Friday evening sitting outside, just listening to the neighborhood sounds. These two big oak trees are in our front yard. Two different varieties, and one puts out leaves so much earlier than the other.

Day 86 of 365. I am declaring this week to be blooms and blossoms week. It appears that spring is finally here, and along with that comes beautiful blossoms on trees. While I was putting the horse up, I noticed the cherry tree in the pasture and thought that would be perfect for today's photo. It was a bonus that honey bees had also noticed the tree.

Day 77 of 365. It turned out to be a beautiful Saturday! After a week of cold temperatures, it was nice enough to get out and go for a walk this afternoon. I can't explain it, but I have always loved seeing a bare tree silhouetted against the sky.

Day 46 of 365. Winter weather in North Carolina is crazy. We can go from below freezing temps in the mornings, to 70 or above by the afternoon. I saw this on my ride home, cherry trees blooming.
