Every year, as part of our Christmas decorations, Donald strings icicle lights around the deck. Tonight, I was sitting on the couch talking to my sister on the phone. I glanced out the windows and noticed a perfect hand print in the size of a small child perfectly framed by the lights. I couldn't help but smile.

I don't know if I ever told you about Patrick's goodie bag at Christmas. Last year, when he was brand new, we all wanted to buy him everything in the world. I came up with the idea of a goodie bag, where I could give him things like books and little toys. My mother made the bag, my sister wrote his name, and my mother embroidered over her writing. This year, the bag contained books, a portable potty, a dinner plate, two pairs of pajamas, a UNCC hoodie, and Norm the Niner toy. He's one lucky boy to have three sets of grandparents.
