I had just about given up on a bird feeder because of the squirrels. Donald found this shepherd's hook for us to try. It didn't take the birds long to find it. Unfortunately, it didn't take the squirrels long either. Did you know that a squirrel can climb a very thin pole?

Donald brought home some plants from his mother's house this past weekend. This poor mint plant looked pretty pitiful when it got here. Amazing what a little water will do for the soul, or in this case, for the plant.

We went to Village Fest in downtown Kannapolis today. One of the local churches was giving away frisbees. As you can see, Thug loves his new toy! (It's rare these days to see him run around like a puppy.)

I went outside to take some pictures of the basil with the camera on macro settings. When I came in, I saw this face. This is way cuter than the basil.
