The temperature got up to 98 today. That's pretty warm and I didn't let the dog sit in my lap when I went out on the deck. When I saw him looking like this, I wanted to sing, "Sad eyes, turn the other way."

I had a pretty busy day today without time for pictures. So, I'm sharing one that Dottie took on Saturday night. Donald and I bought 10 pounds of shrimp from the man down the street. The only catch was that we had to de-head them ourselves. Most of the shrimp were about medium size, but this one is the grand daddy of them all. It was huge.

She was just 10 years old when we met. I didn't know then what a huge part of my life she would become. She's been my bonus daughter for 7 years now, and it's as sweet now as it was then when she sleeps like this.

We're very excited that we got three SMART tables in our district! We held a contest to for teachers to "win" one of these for the classrooms. Here you see the three winners with our instructor for the day. So much fun!
